Your first loves always stay with you the longest…
Well, the Morgan sports cars were certainly center of my world in the late 60s and 70s. Plus, I have always had a Plus 8 since this first one I bought in 1973.
Many have passed through my hands but in the last 10 years or so this BRG 1974 Series 1, RHD Plus 8 was my Morgan of choice. We had the engine sent out to a TR8 specialist in Boston to rebuild and upgrade. We then added fuel injection to the car. Then a couple of years ago I found this blue 2002 Plus 8 (long door car) in California from a gentleman that had had it for many years and used it to do interstate rallies all over the West. He knew every inch of this car. It had the newer Rover V8 with factory fuel injection and the very rare, magnesium, knock off wheels. So, I bought this one and sold the green one. Now, I have a LHD car that I can drive through the drive thru coffee place near my house without stretching over to the other side to pay and retrieve my drink…
