A Lifetime of European Cars
Originally founded as MG (Morris Garages) in 1924 in the United Kingdom, MG became famous for affordable sports cars and lightweight roadsters throughout the 20th century. The original MG Car Company changed ownership multiple times (BMC, British Leyland, Rover Group). After MG Rover collapsed in 2005, the brand was revived by SAIC Motor, continuing production with a modern lineup.
Most recognizable models: MG T‑Series (1936–1955), MGA (1955–1962), MGB (1962–1980), MG Midget (1961–1979).
Years in business: 1924–present (modern MG Motor under SAIC from 2006 onward).
