Founded by Ettore Bugatti in 1909, Bugatti became legendary for its pre‑war race cars and artistic luxury designs. The original company declined after WWII but the brand was revived decades later.
Most recognizable models: Bugatti Type 35 (1924–1930s), Type 41 “Royale” (1927–1933), Type 57 (1934–1940).
Years in business: 1909–1963 (brand revived in 1987; part of Bugatti Rimac today).
This particular SM has spent its entire life in California. Its engine was refreshed by one of the top specialists in the Los Angeles area, and the previous owner invested $7,000 in redoing the complex leather interior.
